48) Meteor Man, the thing these guys have with one-worded game titles. I'll never get it. Anywho, the object of this game is to shoot down as many meteors as possible. Nobody tells you why you're doing this or what happens upon failure. It looks like some kind of city on a distant planet, but not distant enough where we can't see a poorly-drawn earth spinning in the background, ditto for the gumball Saturn and the red circle with random blots Mars. Of course assuming Active is aware of these planets' existence is perchance giving them too much credit. One of the things separating Meteor from the competition of the cart is the rapid auto fire. Doubtless those who finally perfected this feature consider it a legitimate innovation. In this game, it changes the challenge from "super beginner" to "remedially pre-beginner", but this is a minority among green-fonted titles that are actually soundly among the cart's easiest third. This doesn't keep it from a 52-way tie for the dullest selection, though. |
