38) Dedant Man, we've seen this awful pun before. And it's the same damn thing as before, even the insects are pretty much the same, only instead of taking place in an ugly but technically workable underground setting, this time the bug take their fight to a slightly less ugly but technically head-scratching lawn: why'd they use an image that'd only be one-quarter of the screen? The background isn't even gracefully continuous as you can obviously tell where the image's border are. Whereas the NES Dedant was essentially a terrible Galaga clone taken underground, which made it exactly like 50% of the games on that cart, the Genesis Dedant 'adds' to the 'fun' by allowing the bug you control upward and downward movement. This makes it exactly like 50% of the games on this cart. Strange as it may be, but if they simply copied the NES game and pasted it here, we'd have a more original game experience. Of course, doing that would mean the extortionists and arsonists in charge of making this thing as part of their sentence would be gettin' off easy. And we simply cannot have that! |
