8) Jupiter Scope
Imagine a semi-functioning crusty old scrolling space shooter minus the scrolling and this is pretty much what you have. One would think that such a game (consisting wholly of unidentifiable falling objects you barely have any need or desire to hit) would be viewed by me with not but the utmost contempt. And I do that! But after seeing Critical Bypass, pretty much any semi-functioning non-retina-melting game is going to be as refreshing as stepping into an air conditioned room after a day's worth of constructing buildings in New Orleans in August. The music is this game's high point providing some interesting sound-system panning if you blast it loud enough on a capable unit. Kind of a waste of a perfectly good sound unit, I guess, but meh.
